The scar tissue that forms creates permanent pain by pressing on the nerve roots or causing stimulation. It is quite difficult to recognize epidural lesions with classical methods such as MRI or CT. Epidurogram and epiduroscopy can best reveal the epidural lesion. Adhesiolysis method is applied in the treatment of pain originating from epidural lesions. After this procedure, pain disappears in 80% of the patients and motor functions improve. In some patients, the procedure may need to be repeated.       <\/p>\n<h2>How is adhesiolysis performed?<\/h2>\n<p> In single injections made into the epidural space with a needle to relieve pain due to an epidural lesion, it has been observed that the injected fluid follows the path of least resistance and does not reach the inside of the lesion. Therefore, the lesion causing the pain is entered with the help of a catheter within the scope of the adhesiolysis process and the drug is applied in this way. With adhesiolysis, adhesions are eliminated by injection made right into the lesion. It can be applied in the cervical, thoracic, lumbar or sacral regions depending on the area where it occurs. In patients using blood thinners such as aspirin, coraspin, coumadine, plavix, it is mandatory to stop these drugs for a while before this procedure.     <\/p>\n<h2>Who is it done for?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhesiolysis process;<\/li>\n<li>Failed back surgery,<\/li>\n<li>Metastatic cancers of the spine,<\/li>\n<li>Spinal fractures,<\/li>\n<li>It is applied to patients who have facet joint syndrome disorders and complaints of serious pain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Are there any risks to the adhesiolysis procedure?<\/h2>\n<p> As with every procedure, this procedure carries some risks.
